Building a Worldwide Sisterhood of Bowling Baddies 🌎🎳 #GirlsSupportingGirls

Hey fellow Baddies,

I have some exciting news to share with you all! 🎳✨

We are now supporting our very first up-and-coming bowler — and she’s just 12 years old! 💖

This one really hits close to home for me. A few months ago, I received a message from an incredibly supportive mother, Rachelle, who had seen our Bowling Baddies Club community and loved our message. She reached out to ask if we might be able to support her young daughter, Jade, on her bowling journey.

First of all — I was so flattered that people are reaching out to US and thinking of our community to help support bowlers around the world. This has always been an ultimate goal for Bowling Baddies Club, but I wasn’t sure we were there yet.

Second — this family is from New Zealand. As someone who grew up in Australia, I know how it feels to reach out to bowling communities for support. And what touched me the most was Rachelle’s message, the resume she put together, and the passion she has for her daughter’s career. It reminded me so much of my own story — if you’ve followed me for a while, you know how often I talk about my mum and how her endless support and sacrifices shaped my life and bowling career.

I will never get tired of telling my story — because it all started with my mum’s love and belief in me. And now I had this opportunity in front of me to pay that forward.

Of course, as a small business owner, I had to think carefully about how I could help. The distance, currency exchange, and shipping made it hard to bring Jade into my formal ambassador program. I wanted to be fair to our existing ambassadors — like Claire Burton from Canada, who is doing an incredible job representing our brand.

So I came up with a different idea: an International Edition Bowling Baddies Club T-shirt! 🌍✨

The goal? To celebrate the fact that Bowling Baddies Club was started right here in the USA — and is now reaching bowlers around the world who want to be part of a community that uplifts, supports, and brags on women bowlers. 💖

With every purchase of this special International shirt, part of the proceeds will go toward supporting Jade’s bowling journey.

Now — let’s talk about Jade! 🎳

Jade and her mum are from Tauranga, New Zealand — a beautiful part of the country (I’ve never been, but would love to visit!). She is currently in Year 8 at school. For those who don’t know — there is no college bowling system in New Zealand or Australia, so her current focus is youth and national-level competition.

Jade first fell in love with bowling through a program called Bowl Patrol, designed to teach kids the fundamentals of bowling in a fun, social, and active environment. Watching her local youth team compete inspired her — she set a goal to join the team, and in 2023, she was invited to do just that, competing at the TBNZ National Youth Team Championships. Way to go, Jade! 🙌

Right now, Jade is ranked 5th in the U18 girls division in New Zealand, and 11th in the U21 division. She is the youngest bowler to win the TBNZ National Open Graded Championship and holds the New Zealand record for singles in the Open Graded division.

Her current goals include:
🎯 Becoming the youngest bowler in New Zealand to bowl a 300 game
🎯 Competing internationally
🎯 Maintaining her Top 5 ranking in the U18 division

Her teammates inspire her every day, and she loves encouraging more females to join the sport of bowling. 💪✨ I can tell already that Jade has a bright future ahead of her — and will be an incredible representative of the Bowling Baddies Club on the global stage. 🌏

So, Baddies — let’s rally around Jade and help support her! 💖 When you purchase the International Edition Bowling Baddies Tee, you’re helping fuel her journey and showing that our community is girls supporting girls — worldwide. 🎳💥

Thank you all so much — I am so excited to watch Jade shine!

I want to make a shout out to our other International Bowling Baddie!

Our International Bowling Baddie from Canada — Claire Burton!

When I first started building the Bowling Baddies Club community, one of the very first people to reach out was Claire Burton. She submitted her ambassador application and I could feel her passion and energy right through her words.

At the time, Bowling Baddies was still brand new — and I honestly wasn’t sure how to ship to Canada yet! But I knew I wanted Claire to be part of this community, so I figured it out. Before long, Claire and her mom were proudly rocking their Bowling Baddies Club apparel! 💖🎳

Claire and her family are from Winnipeg, Manitoba — a beautiful part of Canada (I’ve been lucky enough to visit Canada, and I’m also friends with several amazing Canadian bowlers!).

Claire first started bowling back in 2014 as a family activity — she and her sister joined their first league and quickly fell in love with the sport (as her parents suspected they would!).

One of my favorite things Claire shared was this:

“I love bowling because there is always some sort of room for improvement, so it never really gets boring!”

That growth mindset and passion will take Claire so far in this sport — it makes her coachable, open to learning, and excited about all the opportunities bowling can bring. So far, those opportunities have already taken her traveling across North America, where she’s met bowlers and built lifelong friendships.

Claire’s biggest achievements so far include:
🥇 Gold in Junior Girls All Events at the 2024 Canadian Youth Championships
🥉 Bronze in All Events this year — competing in a higher division (Intermediate)

Her goals are just as inspiring:
🎯 Compete at the collegiate level
🎯 Make Team Canada

Claire also wanted to give a special shoutout to the people who have helped shape her journey:
"The people who inspire me most are my two mentors — Marissa Naylor McCall and Austyn Ducharme — as well as my coach, John Savage. They have been my number one supporters throughout my bowling journey, and have helped me get to where I am today."

When asked what she loves about the Bowling Baddies Club community, Claire shared this beautiful message:

“I love that it represents women in a more male-dominant sport! I love that this community brings in so much support for the next generation of female athletes. It has personally given me a lot more confidence knowing I have so many amazing women behind me!”

And that is exactly what this club is all about. 💖 Claire — we are SO proud to have you as one of our original International Baddies and cannot wait to continue cheering you on every step of your journey!
