Bowling Baddie of the Month: Maggie Jaklich! ππ
We are SO excited to announce our Bowling Baddie of the Month: Maggie Jaklich!
Maggie is from Tinley Park, Illinois, and has been a bowler her entire life. Since the age of 3, she has always been in love with the sport. Bowling runs in the family, too, as her dad has been her coach throughout her journey, supporting her as she bowled through high school and college. We are so glad that bowling has given Maggie so many incredible opportunities!
During her time at university, Maggie achieved Academic All-American honours in 2013 and 2014, and her team won their conference championship in 2014, her senior year. What an amazing journey and achievement.
I think it's fair to say these experiences put some fire in Maggie's belly, because her bowling career is definitely something to talk about! Maggie didn't mention this in her application, but we know she is a fantastic bowler. She has achieved 7 perfect 300 games and 6 800 series, with an 817 being her highest set!Β
When we asked Maggie what her greatest bowling achievement has been, her answer was beautiful. She said it's not necessarily about an award or a win; it's simply about bowling. Every time she gets to step onto the lanes and be fearless is the best thing the sport has given her. The feeling, the drive, the confidence, the motivation and the happiness, all because of one sport.
She did mention that being named Chicagoland Bowler of the Year is pretty cool, too! But, of course, our sweet Maggie finished with: "My best achievement otherwise is being a mom."Β What a sweet and beautiful thing to say. Maggie's two children are the cutest little cheerleaders.
Maggie's goals are to become the best bowler she can possibly be. This means she has her eyes set on the PWBA National Tour and hopes to have the opportunity to participate in more stops. We hope you get there, Maggie, and we will support you every step of the way!
Another one of Maggie's goals is to meet more women who support and believe in each other in the sport of bowling. She hopes to inspire her children to chase their dreams and lives by the words:
"Life is what you make it, and you have to go out and make your goals happen."
No truer words have ever been spoken! We are so glad Maggie connected with us through the Bowling Baddies Club. She is truly inspiring.Β
Maggie also shared that her youngest daughter, Savannah, who is only 3 years old, is her inspiration. Why? Because she is unapologetically herself. I think her parents have a lot to do with that, and they should be proud!
What Does Maggie Love About the Bowling Baddies Club?
When we asked Maggie what she loves about the Bowling Baddies Club, she shared a story that we absolutely loved!
"It's a funny story. I was sitting at home scrolling through my phone, and a bright pink flyer popped up on my feed advertising a women's tournament. It instantly caught my attention, and then I saw it was in Texas.
I am near Chicago, and I hate flying! However, something about the flyer was really speaking to me. My goal for 2026 was to not let fear get in the way. So, I booked the flight to Texas and also drove all the way to Oklahoma for their other event.
I quickly realised what was speaking to me. It was the environment Katey and Brandon have created with the Bowling Baddies Club community. Everyone involved is so supportive and empowering. I am so glad I signed up and took that risk!"
This story is so heartwarming to hear. It is exactly what we hope the Bowling Baddies Club represents. A community where women feel welcomed, supported, encouraged and empowered to step outside their comfort zones.
